Although, shouldn’t the headline read “Man lucky to be alive after charging cops with knife after dark” ?
This short piece irks me. They refer to the wacko who charged the cops with a knife as a “victim.” Victims are those who have suffered an injustice, not caused one.
Which is why this article is categorized under “The Predictability of Stupidity.”

Butler saw it coming all the way back in 1819. “Criminal Justice” is Orwellian code for justice for the criminal and to hell with his victims. The silly Boomer left-wingers are in love with their cosy little fantasy that if a person keeps body parts in his fridge, then he is simply expressing himself, as it is his “human right” to do. I caused a furore last year in Crim. law when I said in class that the “rule of law” justice system in Western welfare states is a useless shell game premised on the principle that people must die or be robbed or raped or injured in order for society to test out and “prove” that the fairy tale legal system “works”. I said that the crim. justice system in Western “democracies” is no better than the 3rd world corruptions that Canada and the U.S. love to criticize—they’re just more raw and in-your-face with it and without the fetishistic patina of pretense called “rule of law”. That the “democratic” system, like the most corrupt in the Spanish Main, is built on the “principle” of the endlessly-recycled criminal.
So, I was not surprised that the idiot who brutally attacked 6 people in Snowdon metro is not getting any jail time and will be “supervised” in the community. In the meantime, one of his victims suffered marked brain damage, a fractured cheek and eye socket requiring reconstructive surgery from his failure to get a grip on him Self. In Kingston, we call that a rabid dog, and rabid dogs are not sent back into the unsuspecting community, given “anger-management therapy” and a stuffed toy to clutch as they ponder their next assault or homicide.
Our new prime minister, Bruce Golding, is a delightfully right-wing libertarian who took control of the Jamaican government last Fall, and caused a stir in Parliament last month when he furiously stated that he would never accord the same rights to the criminal as to his victim. He pushed through legislation and Jamaica now once again has the death penalty. If he is not assassinated (he’s been stepping on complacent political toes for a while now), I wish him luck in cleaning up the 40-year old filthy, corrupted love affair with the criminal that has become entrenched in Jamaica.
There is nobody like that here in North America or Europe. We’ll have to wait for the Boomers to get out. Or, perhaps I could offer my services in showing such people how a string of love beads picked up in 1967 as a souvenir from the last Haight-Ashbury orgy lovefest can be transformed into a garrotà…
